WOW!!!!!
Tribal Quilt had the most amazing day at Sparks Will Fly Essex 2012.
Arriving on site at 2pm we set up the TQ workshop in a fabulous and large tent.
From 3:30pm to 9:30pm we were very happy to welcome over 100 people into the TQ area and 75 pages of unique and inspiring artwork have been made for the Marina versus Boreas book.
The TQ team departed armed with a fabulous book and very smiley faces :-)

Marina comes to Town

What a fantastic Carnival day!
Tribal Quilt joined Colchester's TACMEP event in Castle Park and the tent was filled several times over.
Marina's supporters showed dedication and skilled artistic ability!
Thanks to TACMEP for having TQ on site for the day and thank you to all participants.

Tribal Quilt Guest Book: Boreas

Tribal Quilt Guest Book was in Braintree, Essex in the George Yard Shopping Centre Unit 9 today.
A busy and creative day was had as participants of all ages came along and spent an enjoyable time making their individual pages to add to the guest book to celebrate and mark the occasion of the arrival of Boreas Zephyr in the town centre.
Origami envelopes were created with a message for those involved in the Cultural Olympiad of 2016 :-)
The Guest Book is reversible and will house pages to celebrate the arrival of Boreas Zephyr in Braintree and Marina Mightier in Colchester.

Next stop Colchester, Essex on the 30th June 2012.
Come along to Castle Park and make your own page...

Teens and Tots at Y.E.S Colchester

I had a really enjoyable morning running a Tribal Quilt book making workshop with the Teens and Tots group at the Youth Enquiry Service in Colchester yesterday. Great to have the young mothers and a whole group of children taking part - and making some family books too :-)

Thanks to Fiona, Angie for making me very welcome and and to all the participants for taking part in the Tribal Quilt workshop.

Here are a couple of pictures from the session...

Colchester Gateway Club

I have never run a workshop alongside a disco in full swing - but last night was a first and a great evening at the Colchester Gateway Club.

My second workshop at the Club and I was really please that last week's participants joined in again to complete their books - along with several newbies.

This week I grabbed a cuppa before the workshop began and lucky I did so because, as last week, it was busy, busy from start to finish.  The dance floor held a certain magnetism - but the participants went happily back and forth between book making and boogie-ing :-)

Thanks to Eileen for such valuable help on both evenings - and to Mandy and Rita for inviting me to run my workshop at the Club evening events.  Thanks also to my friendly, welcoming and totally positive participants :-)

The Tribal Quilt is growing...

Many thanks to Toni, Nadine, Catherine and Justina and to all my welcoming workshop participants :-) for your books and for sharing your inspiring tales with me.
Here are some great pictures from the workshop session:
